Why Is It Hard to Forgive
Forgiveness is the act we do
when someone hurts
our feelings
Instead of keeping hurts inside
we tell God of our
dealings
We cry, we rage,
we shout,
ask God "Why"
we hurt
as we are
kneeling
"Oh God I'm hurting now
impossible to forgive.
Can't I keep this
hurt inside
without my heart
revealing?"
"No my child you must forgive"
my Father said with feeling
"It is why my son was killed
and why his heart was bleeding."
"So you might have eternal life
living your life with meaning
You must forgive
so I can forgive you
Without forgiveness
you live your life
deceiving"
